I have thoroughly enjoyed the readings we have done so far in this class. This is a completely different type of reading for me, and I have enjoyed not only the stories, but also the format of the material we have read. My favorite stories would have to be anything from the Ramayana, specifically the public domain version that I read for my first reading of this epic. I suppose if I have to choose one specific story, it would be 'Vali's Death' because of how action-packed this episode is. My reading notes I have took have helped me more that I previously thought they would to create my readings. They give me a chance to look at all the stories within an epic, so that I am able to make the best decision on what story I do for my retelling each week. It also gives me the opportunity to review my readings each week, when sometimes I forget the point I am trying to make about the epics. So far, I am very pleased with my class project. I am happy to have gotten the option to do the Portfolio project instead of the alternative, because it fits my style of learning so much better. I believe my biggest accomplishment so far is opening up my creative writing skills. This is something I have always enjoyed, but typically limited myself. This has given me an opportunity to polish and use these skills.

I have decided to use this photo of the screenshot from the animated movie I watched called, 'Sita Sings the Blues.' I loved being given the opportunity to view the Ramayana story in a different light. It was so fun to see these characters and their experiences with a visual representation.
In regards to the future of this course, I am looking forward to continuing to expand my creative writing techniques. I have been nervous to branch out too much, but after seeing my other classmates do it so successfully, I am looking forward to completing this myself. I am also wanting to get better at my editing skills. I will re-read my paper many times and not see or realize silly mistakes that I am making. Although this class has already helped me with this, I am excited to continue to improve these skills throughout the rest of the semester.
