1. I am actually really enjoying the comments I am receiving from my peers in this class. Typically in class you get comments that are vague and not helpful. These comments and 'great work' and long drawn out sentences for people to achieve the word count. However, I very rarely get those kind of comments from this class. The best comments to me are the ones that are very specific. These comments include people quoting out an exact line or two from my story and then giving me specific feedback on what to change. Overall, I am so impressed with the feedback I receive in this class. I think the fact that we introduce each other and attempt to create relationships each other in this class helps with that. We are not just random names on Canvas discussions giving feedback. We are all reading the feedback from everyone, which holds everyone accountable.
2. I hope and believe that I am leaving good feedback for my peers. I always read stories thoroughly and attempt to give the feedback I would wish to receive. Even when things are not the best in a draft of a story, I always make sure to also give some positive feedback! I can improve my feedback from implementing the things my peers have been doing in my comments. I am going to start being more specific with my feedback. This is feedback that I am obviously enjoying a lot, so I am sure that my classmates would enjoy it as well!
3. I actually brought this up in my response to question 1! I am really enjoying connecting with my peers. Typically in online discussion classes people give no effort to get to know each other. This lack of relationship is very evident in the feedback people receive. When you do not have a relationship with someone, it typically makes people put in less effort in the feedback they give that person. I also enjoy that we get to connect and people get to know everyone. When people comment on your stuff you start to remember them. This makes it fun to check on the progress of people that you have connected with in this class.
4. My improvements for the rest of the semester will focus on the content of my posts and giving better feedback to my classmates. I want to be more creative with my stories, as well as write longer stories. These have been my two more frequent feedback comments from my peers, so I would like to achieve these things! As discussed in a previous question, I want to start improving my feedback to my peers. I will give more specific feedback to my peers so they have something they can fix. This is better than having general comments that do not give them a next move to make in terms of making a change to their stories.

Feedback Cat Source: Cheezburger
I chose to use this cat because this is something I get uncomfortable with when it comes to feedback. Sometimes I have a hard time receiving feedback, as it can be discouraging. However, it is important to remember that feedback is helpful and nothing to fear. Feedback gives you room to grow. Feedback is not used to trash your work or effort.
