Reading Notes: Public Domain Ramayana (Part B)

When Bharata returns, I could change this story to make it seems like he knew about the death of his father the entire time. The original explains how he does not know about his death until he returns and it is a big shocking reveal. However, changing this story to make it seems as if he knows could be a very interesting twist. Bharata could have to act surprised about the death for appearances. Perhaps I could retell the story in a way that alludes that Bharata could have had something to do with his death in some way. The Chase was one of my favorite stories in this section. This story would be really fun to retell in a different way. I could either make him a different animal instead of a golden deer. I think it would be interesting to retell the story as if he was a far less significant animal. For example if he was a small bug, the story would be much different. Would he even be noticed as a small bug? Would there even be a chase?
