Learning Challenge: Exploring the Idea of ‘Happiness’ As Part of School Work

For this weeks learning challenge I decided to read an article on happiness. I have chosen 'Exploring the Ideas of 'Happiness' As Part of School Work' by Katrina Schwartz.

One thing that this article confirmed for me is that your school work and happiness and coincide. This is something I have always believed because I am always very happy when I am succeeding in school. Something the article discussed was students being happy at school because they were with their friends, but school itself did not make them happy. This information was drawn from high school students, so I thought this observation made a lot of sense.

Something I was fascinated by in this article were the schools that were making an actual effort to help with their students happiness. Things that they did were to actually teach students about the Growth Mindset. I found a lot of satisfaction from learning about this myself, so I completely understand the benefit they got.
